Destiny Pagan
Dance Portfolio
Hi! My name is Destiny Pagan and I have been a dancer for about 6 years now. I started off doing ballet at a studio called Fairy Tales and Tutus when I was three. I stuck there for around a year then decided to do gymnastics which didn't last very long. At eight years old I started doing Hip Hop at Summerlin Dance. I switched studios and now I am currently at Bunker Dance center and have done ballroom, contemporary, and jazz with contemporary being my favorite.
My goals three goals this year are to perfect double pirouettes, get my splits, and become better technique wise. These are important to me because I want to push myself and not be afraid of failing. I also want to work hard to become and all around better dancer!
My plans for the future include college and a career in the medical field. I definitely always want to dance for fun and pass that onto my kids as well. I don't really have an exact college I want to go to but as far as big goals I think Stanford's medical program would be really cool. I want to be a pediatrician when I'm older. Thank you for taking time to get to know a little more about me!

This is a solo I created about the meaning of my name. My name is Destiny so this dance is about fate. Whatever your "destiny" is will happen. My parents weren't planning on having another baby after my siblings but fate said otherwise. The most difficult part of creating this video was coming up with the right choreography to fit the meaning and song. I got critiques from some of my peers and some lessons I learned from them and this experience were to really extend my movements and use more facials to really portray my story. I will you these and more critiques and lessons to make my next video more entertaining to watch and to help make my storyline more clear.
